Each season of Centurion Commander brings changes in the metagame, and with it, the cards that become essential to keeping your deck competitive. With a mix of new additions and timeless staples, the most played cards have been compiled in the document we are presenting today.
Thanks to numerous events and feedback gathered from tournaments, players now have a clearer understanding of the options to consider when building a competitive deck. But what do we mean by “staples” in this article?
Simply put, these are the cards that frequently appear in top deck lists and, due to their power or versatility, offer an edge over many others. Staples often provide consistency: they are the cards that, when played at the right moment, can change the course of a game or solve complex situations. It’s not just about having immediate answers to threats, but also about building your deck to handle the variety of strategies you might face throughout the season.
The data was collected by analyzing top-performing deck lists from various tournaments cataloged in our official Moxfield account. For Season 2 (April-June 2024), we have 334 lists to review.
For players who are new to the format or looking to update their decks, it’s always helpful to have a reliable resource to consult. Platforms like Moxfield remain a go-to for viewing the most up-to-date deck lists, and our report on the website allows you to keep track of metagame trends.
To help ensure you don’t overlook key cards when building your deck, we’ve also created a series of lists on Moxfield, organized by color, highlighting the most frequently played cards in our format.
The data on the most used and high-performing cards of Season 2 can be viewed in the dedicated spreadsheet. This resource will help players keep track of current trends and ensure they don’t overlook those crucial cards that can make the difference between victory and defeat.
