A good seven months have passed since our last update and in this period we have had the opportunity to see the meta evolve through online tournaments and the numerous summer events in local stores. We are really happy to see the tournaments restarting and we hope that things can get back to normal soon.

Before going into detail on the individual changes, we remind you that Centurion is a competitive format, which rewards the players’ ability to make the most of their resources. In every game of Centurion, players must be able to express the potential of their decks and develop the planned strategy to bring it to victory.

Moving on to the second Centurion Banlist update of this 2021, these will be the new changes:

> Inalla, Archmage Ritualist is now banned as a Commander.

> Niv-Mizzet Reborn is now banned as a Commander.

> Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer is now banned as a Commander.

> Uro, Titan of Natures Wrath is now banned as a Commander.

> Intuition is now banned.

> Bazaar of Baghdad is no longer banned.

> Necropotence is no longer banned.

Further individual explanations:

- Inalla, Archmage Ritualist

Recently, an interaction has emerged between Inalla and Spellseeker able to close consistently in the fourth round.

This interaction is difficult to counter, not very interactive and does not need to be assembled, as Spellseeker interacts directly with Inalla's Eminence ability. We believe that Inalla can always play a key role in this type of combo.

In order to avoid future interactions, we opted for Inalla's ban instead of Spellseeker's one, which sees support and play in different decks.

For all these reasons, Inalla, the Ritualist Archmage is now banished as commander.

- Niv-Mizzet Reborn

Niv-Mizzet Reborn since its appearance has proved to be a very influential deck in the Centurion Metagame that over time has proved increasingly consistent in results.

It can support various strategies and adapt to any meta change without too much difficulty.

The 5 colors give access to all the cards in the game to support his strategies, further enhanced by a commander capable of providing a flow of cards that is hardly managed by any deck. All this makes it necessary to close the game before Niv-Mizzet, Reborn can replenish his resources; something not taken for granted considering the efficiency and strength of the cards that make up the deck itself.

For all these reasons, Niv-Mizzet Reborn is now banned as commander.

- Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer

Ragavan is one of the strongest 1-mana creatures in the game and one of the most aggressive commanders ever.

Against decks with a lot of removals, Ragavan is not very different from Zurgo, Bellstriker but when approached with other aggressive or Midrange decks it is almost impossible stave off his offensive.

We believe that the presence of a commander polarizing the meta towards a surplus of removals is highly toxic.

For this reason, Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer is now banned as commander.

- Uro, Titan of Natures Wrath

Uro is a commander who generates all kinds of advantages in a repeatable way making him able to support different performing and competitive strategies, which in a very flexible way are able to adapt and prey in any context.

It allows you to build decks that are difficult to counter by aggro/midrange strategies, while maintaining a decent winrate even against Control / Combo.

Even in the 99 its strength is indisputable and a possible Ban as a card is still the subject of debate today.

We have been monitoring this commander for a long time and believe that his presence as commander is detrimental to any meta that wants to be balanced in terms of archetypes.

For all these reasons, Uro, Titan of Natures Wrath is now banned as commander.

- Intuition

It has always been a hot topic of the format, being one of the strongest tutors in the game. The strength of Intuition lies in its ability to assemble combos made up of specific stacks, which has been compounded by the introduction of cards such as Uro, Titan of Natures Wrath, Sevinne’s Reclamation and Underworld Breach. Recently, Intuition has gone from being a tool that can find parts of a combo, to a tutor that can assemble it entirely. We believe that a tutor which can assemble an entire combo and provide additional support for numerous decks that interact with the graveyard is too influential in our format.

For all these reasons, Intuition is now banned.

- Bazaar of Baghdad

Bazaar of Baghdad is a high-power land that is a fantastic engine for commanders such as Hogaak, the Arisen Necropolis, Rielle, the Everwise and Anje Falkenrath. These are currently unable to define the format and we believe that the Bazaar’s unban, while helping these decks, will not change the status quo.

For these reasons, Bazaar of Baghdad is now available again.

- Necropotence

The lowering of the life points, and the greater aggressiveness of the format, make the ground very harsh for this powerful spell.

In addition, its mana cost (triple specific black mana), coupled with the structural restrictions of the format, makes it not easy to use in every deck.

We are aware of his interactions with Zur, the Enchanter and Dark ritual, but we do not find them compromising.

For these reasons, Necropotence is now available again.

This update will be effective from Tuesday 10 August 2021.
